Fareham Heathens Rugby Club was founded on 28th August 1974 at A Jolly Farmer, Fleet End and has developed a reputation for friendliness and excellence. The club enjoys a large membership and wide ranging support which is growing year on year. Fareham Heathens enjoys a solid platform through Senior and Youth Rugby.
The clubs inaugural match was against Havant 1st XV on 12th October 1974 compromising of 16 founding members.
As membership grows the club is extremely proud to be able to support Mens, Womans, Age Grade and Touch Rugby. The club is a grass roots community club that offers a safe environment for everyone.
The 2006 – 2007 Season was the clubs first season with a youth section. This was also the first year the club obtained the RFU seal of approval, the only club in the area at that time! The Age Grade section of the club has grown to the thriving Sunday mornings they are today with Boys and Girls from age 6 enjoying the sport that everyone loves.
Cams Alders in Fareham is home to Fareham Heathens Rugby Club, jostling for attention with the Fareham Town Football Team. A large shared car park, clubhouse, bar, floodlit pitch are just some of the amenities the club enjoys.
With a wide range of social activities beyond the rugby the club welcome everyone to join in on matchdays whether home or away.
