With the new season fast approaching Farehams Mens look to put pre season to the test with a friendly against HMS Dragon.

Lots of new and lots of experience players getting a chance to run out and fight for a position in one of our 2 squads for the up coming season. There is so much talent at Fareham Heathens that it overspills into the Dragons Team with 3 of farehams finest going up against team mates.

Family fun day will BBQ, ice cream, bouncey castle plus 2 games of rugby.

If you like what you see you will have the opportunity to sign yourself or your children for the up coming season.

As the days get longer, warmer and dryer week look ahead to the season of rugby and Fareham Heathens Rugby Club are going to be attending a number of different onces for all different ages.

Rugby Festival Season for All

Fareham Rugby Club has partnered this year with Braai-B-Que Boys to serve up some delicious food from the clubs kitchen but on Saturday 23rd March we are going one step further.

Cams Alders goes full South African. After some physical match ups on the field against Romsey the club will lay host to a traditional South African BBQ. 

If any of the meats take your fancy their will be a chance to win some in the raffle which also includes signed shirts, vouchers and more prizes. 

Everyone is invited, with summer no where in site what could be better than a BBQ in March!

Winter Melt

The league will be over but there will still be trophies up for grabs. Fareham Heathens will be entering the papa johns community cup. A nationwide tournament that show cases grass roots rugby at all levels. 

Fareham will fight there way through this knock of tournament with the ultimate aim to play at a world class stadium on the final day and then maybe even lift the trophies itself.

Papa Johns Community Cup

As the rugby season enters the second half of the season Fareham Heathens Men's 1XV sit top of Hampshire Counties 3. 

To get there the team have had to score 483 points, almost 120 more than second place, and take the try scoring bonus point on 11 out of 13 occasions. 

Season already having its ups and downs. Managing to defeat closest rival Havant both home and away, managing to win all away games to date but two defeats at home gives the squad fire in their belly's to get redemption later in the season. 

What ever the rest of 2024 season holds for the mighty men at Fareham Heathens they will be proud of what they have achieved so far and the determination, effort and team work that has gone into creating a positive mentality that is breeding great results. 

Senior Team Sit Top

brewers of a diverse range of beers including impactful hop-forward pale ales and IPAs, dark porters and stouts which carry depth of flavour and crisp refreshing lagers.

The Brewery is local to the rugby club with a background in rugby thanks to Steve Thompson MBE, former rugby player who played at hooker for Northampton Saints and England. He was once England’s most capped hooker and a member of the World Cup winning team. He also played for the British and Irish Lions. Steve still loves his Rugby and his beer, and as a Director of Powder Monkey Brewing Co Ltd has put his name to this range of beers

Powder Monkey have back there love of the game with a player of the match sponsorship for the 2023/24 season. If players weren't already motivated to get on the score sheet to get a win perhaps a pint of Hop & Hooker will push them over the line. 

Get ready to celebrate outstanding performances on the field with the finest brews in town! Welcome Powder Monkey to the family, adding a dash of local flavour to our games.
